Lower Taxes & Cost of Living

New Yorkers are fleeing to lower tax states. On top of the highest tax burden in the nation and among the least business-friendly states, this year we are also among the states with the highest cost of living while billions of our tax dollars go to illegal migrants. I will support legislation that lowers taxes, reduces excessive regulations on businesses, housing and energy for New Yorkers.

Prioritize Public Safety

That means repeal failed policies like Bail Reform and Raise the Age that punish law-abiding citizens and victims, making it harder for our brave men and women in uniform to do their job. When elected, I will partner with First Responders and Law Enforcement Agencies to develop common sense solutions to support them in their efforts to make our communities safe for everyone and keep violent repeat offenders off the streets.

Advocate for Academic Excellence

As public school enrollment drops at alarming rates, it’s clear that parents no longer have the same trust in NY’s education system that they once did. Students’ proficiency levels in subjects like Math and Reading are below the national average while we spend more on education than any other state. I would support legislation to address these issues and provide parents with more options and support to choose the best education and resources for their children, without it costing them more.

Parents Know What’s Best for Their Kids, Not The State

The State should not have more authority over children than their own parents or caregivers. There is increasingly more legislation that threatens to remove the essential responsibility of parents and caregivers to make critical medical or education decisions for their children. While there are exceptions, when the State may need to step in to ensure the welfare of a child, in cases of abuse or neglect — the exception should not be the rule. I will support legislation that protects the rights of parents and rightfully respects the liberties of Americans to raise their families according to their own values.

I’m running for State Assembly to represent YOU & prioritize what matters most in our community.

Improve Mental Healthcare

An inadequate mental health system impacts everyone. Mental healthcare facilities and crisis response teams still struggle to meet the needs of individuals suffering from mental health challenges and substance abuse. While the issue of mental healthcare, in general, has been more of a focus in recent years and I’m happy to see more state funding, there is more we can do to strengthen the structure of our mental healthcare system.

Defend Women’s Rights

Women can get an abortion through all nine months of pregnancy without restriction in New York State. Abortion is not on the ballot in 2024.

As a state legislator, I aim to ensure the health and safety of women in all spaces, from changing rooms to domestic violence shelters to prisons. Women and girls should have equal opportunities for fair competition in sports as Title IX, in it’s original context, was intended to achieve.

Protecting Our Kids & Prop 1.

Have you heard there will be an amendment to our state constitution on your ballot this November?

The repercussions of this proposition to change New York State’s Equal Rights Amendment would be far-reaching. It could restrict parents’ ability to make critical medical decisions in the best interest of their children, eliminate single-sex spaces from changing rooms to domestic violence shelters and even impact senior citizens’ benefits.

I stand firmly against this proposition to amend our constitution in this way, and find the existing Equal Rights Amendment to be sufficient in protecting citizens from discrimination.
