Meet Kimberly DeRosa

Kimberly DeRosa is a seasoned professional with a rich background in management and human resources, coupled with years of hands-on experience as a dedicated homeschool mom. When her youngest son was born with a chronic health condition, she chose to leave the corporate world to devote her time to caring for her 2 sons while they were young. During this time she was actively involved in their education, serving in critical roles on PTA boards and collaborating with parents in the community to provide enrichment activities for students.

After several years as a stay-at-home Mom, Kimberly returned to her career in management, where she honed her skills in leadership, strategic planning, and personnel management. As an HR manager when the pandemic hit in 2020, she was instrumental in developing effective policies, resolving complex workplace issues, and fostering a positive organizational culture. Her expertise in understanding diverse needs and creating welcoming environments for innovation has been a hallmark of her professional journey.

Dissatisfied with the public school environment and the education her son was receiving in the aftermath of the pandemic, she again transitioned from the corporate sphere. Embracing the role of a homeschool mom, she continued to apply her organizational and leadership skills to create a structured, engaging, and effective learning environment for her youngest son. This experience has given her a unique perspective on education, parental involvement, and community needs.

Now, as she runs for NY State Assembly, Kimberly brings a wealth of practical experience and a deep understanding of both the workforce and educational sectors.
